The Basics

  • You must be at least 16 to join spur.
  • Accounts require email activation before login.
  • All accounts require an active working email.
  • You may have only one account.
  • Usernames must be a human name. No internet slang like 'Horzegurl'.
  • Your username will be used game wide, Choose a name you like.
  • Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • A game lives through community activity. A player who goes 4 months with zero activity or notification of inactivity will be marked inactive.
  • Inactive players have an additional two months before your account may be deleted.
  • You must post an introduction before you can build a stable.

Time

  • One month equals one game season.
  • Horses age once per game year (Every four months).

Horses

  • Horses must be registered to exist within the game.
  • Horses must retire from competition at 18.
  • All horses pass away at 30. Any horse over the age of 20 could pass away at the start of each season, randomly decided by code.
  • Each horse must have a unique name.
  • Avoid names of famous horses ( Secretariat, Volegro ).
  • There are two types of horses; Foundation and Bred. Foundation horses do not have pedigrees.
  • All horses must have a stall, purchased via the Real Estate Agent.
  • All horses must be three years old to be bred.
  • There is no gestation period.
  • Mares may only have one foal per game year.
  • Providing supplies and tack is not required, but it is highly encouraged.

Establishments

  • You may open a stable as soon as you start.
  • Stables require one stall per horse.
  • Businesses and Associations require a 30 day or 50 post minimum to start.
  • All Stables, associations and businesses are required to have some type of online presense.

Currencies

  • Members start with $100,000; $50,000 at joining and another $50,000 for posting your introduction.
  • Members start with 10 creation credits.
  • Spurs are our active member incentive program.

Competition

General Guidelines
  • There are no mandatory rest periods.
  • Horses must be registered before or on the shows closing date to be included in entries.
  • Young horses may only show in Prospect (2yo or younger) or Suitability (3yo).
  • There is no suitability classes for racehorses.
  • Horses may advance a level when they achieve a new title or one season has passed.
Hosting Events
  • Associations may host & post ahead for the entire year
  • Associations are asked to claim specific days of the week to host. You can do so on the forum.
  • To secure your claimed day, associations must post by the 15th of the preceeding month.
  • Players may host on any availble day starting on the 16th of each month.
  • Players and Associations may host up to eight shows per month (season).
  • Shows must be posted to the Pending Show forum for approval.
  • Entries must be open for at least one week. They close the day before the show is held.
  • If you charge entry fees, you must post prizes.
  • There may only be one show per discipline per day.
  • We use an automatic entry system. You must use this system when holding shows.
  • Purses are divided as follows; 40%/25%/15%/10%/7%/3%. Payouts are not dynamic.
  • Purses and fees are deducted and paid out automatically.
  • Classes may have a maximum of three phases or tests.
  • Classes must be formatted as follows;
    Disc Initial - Level:Phase/Test - Purse (if offered).
Honor System
  • Points are awarded and tracked automatically through our systems.
  • Upon reaching a milestone, honor titles will be awarded
